Mayoral Candidate Interviews
On February 20, the FCGG board interviewed the candidates for Mayor of the City of Fresno. One candidate, Tom Boyagian, declined to participate. A second candidate, Jim Boswell, agreed to participate but did not show. All other candidates participated.
Each candidate was interviewed separately. All candidates were asked the same questions. The candidate responses are not verbatim but reflect the consolidated notes taken by two FCGG board members and one staff person. Candidates were advised before the interviews that because one of the mayoral candidates, Ashley Swearengin, is a past board member and officer of FCGG, the board would not endorse a candidate to avoid perceptions of a conflict of interest. While individual board members have endorsed candidates, those endorsements do not reflect the views of the FCGG board.
The interviews were conducted as a service to the FCGG members and members of the public who access the FCGG web site. You can access the questions and candidate responses by clicking on the link below:

When our government needed help in Vietnam, the Hmong people

the Hmong people behind to be persecuted by a hostile government.
